About CSREC

CSREC was established to eradicate all forms of discrimination under the Race Relations Act 1976. CSREC is based in Stirling and works across Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Council areas.

CSREC, a founder member of the Scottish Alliance of Regional Equality Councils (SAREC), works in partnership with members of local communities, statutory authorities, and voluntary organisations across the Forth Valley, promoting good relations and providing equality of opportunity.

Every project that we run, and every action that CSREC takes, works towards enabling people from ethnic minorities to be aware of their rights, understand what they can do to enable them, and what to do if such rights are not being upheld.

Where people experience barriers to exercising their rights, we work with them to overcome those barriers, help them to empower themselves and build resilience.

Our work also addresses the needs of people facing structural racism and inequality through partnership work, awareness-raising, training and consultancy at the organisational level with public, private and third sectors.

Our Vision

A Central Scotland where everyone is treated equally, with respect and dignity, and has equal opportunities to thrive. We the CSREC envisions a society in which equality, dignity, and justice are upheld for everyone, regardless of their race, background, identity, or circumstances. Our work is rooted in building an inclusive and respectful community across Central Scotland—particularly Stirling, Falkirk, and Clackmannanshire—where people from diverse backgrounds can live free from discrimination, feel heard, and thrive socially and economically.

Our Mission

To promote racial equality, challenge racial discrimination, and foster good relations between diverse communities through education, advocacy, and community engagement.
