CSREC was established to eradicate all forms of discrimination under the Race Relations Act 1976, CSREC is based in Stirling and works across Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Council areas.
CSREC, a founder member of the Scottish Alliance of Regional Equality Councils (SAREC), works in partnership with members of local communities, statutory authorities, and voluntary organisations across the Forth Valley, promoting good relations and providing equality of opportunity.
Every project that we run, and every action that CSREC takes, works towards enabling people from ethnic minorities to be aware of their rights, understand what they can do to enable them, and what to do if such rights are not being upheld.
Where people experience barriers to exercising their rights, we work with them to overcome those barriers, help them to empower themselves and build resilience.
Our work also addresses the needs of people facing structural racism and inequality through partnership work, awareness-raising, training and consultancy at the organisational level with public, private and third sectors.
